Collection and Use of Face Data
Collection of Face Data
When a user uploads an image to SmileyDude, including images of their face, the app collects this data for the purpose of processing by our AI image generation service. The collection occurs only when the user actively chooses to upload an image by tapping "Upload."
Use of Face Data
The uploaded face data is used in the following ways:
Description and Analysis: The AI service analyzes the image and provides a text description (e.g., "1girl, brown hair, indoors") to facilitate the generation of variations of the image in different styles.
Variation Generation: Upon user request via the "Vary" function, the AI service generates new images based on the selected style, using the uploaded face data as a base.
Storage and Handling of Face Data
Storage Location
The face data is stored on Google Cloud in a Storage Bucket. This storage method allows for the queuing of user requests and sequential processing by the Google Cloud API.
Format and Accessibility
For privacy and security reasons, images are stored in Base64 text format. This format enhances privacy by making the data less directly readable and is primarily used for improving content filters, fixing bugs, and handling user requests.
Retention Period
All face data, including images and any associated usage data stored in the Google Cloud server, is retained for no longer than 3 days. After this period, the data is automatically deleted.
Sharing of Face Data
SmileyDude is committed to user privacy, and therefore, face data will not be shared with any third parties. The data is exclusively used for the purposes outlined in this policy and within the functionality of the app.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of the policy.
