# Terms of Use (EULA) for Papyrus

## 1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Papyrus ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our App.

## 2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Papyrus on your personal iOS device for your personal, non-commercial use.

## 3. Subscription Terms

### 3.1 Premium Features

- Papyrus offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions

- Subscription gives you unlimited story generation and chapter creation

- Free users may have limited access to features

### 3.2 Billing

- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase

- Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings

### 3.3 Refunds

- All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by law

- Refunds are handled through Apple's App Store policies

## 4. User Content and Conduct

### 4.1 Your Content

- You retain ownership of any stories, characters, or settings you create

- By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your inputs solely for story generation

- You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights

### 4.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

- Use the App for any illegal purposes

- Create content that is offensive, harmful, or violates others' rights

- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or hack the App

- Share subscription access with others

- Use the App for commercial purposes without permission

- Violate any applicable laws or regulations

## 5. AI-Generated Content

### 5.1 Nature of Content

- Stories are generated using artificial intelligence

- We do not guarantee accuracy, quality, or appropriateness of generated content

- AI-generated content may contain errors or unexpected results

### 5.2 Content Rights

- AI-generated stories based on your inputs are yours to enjoy

- You may not claim copyright over AI-generated portions

- We are not responsible for any similarities to existing works

## 6. Intellectual Property

### 6.1 Our Property

- The App, its design, features, and functionality are owned by us

- Our trademarks, logos, and brand features may not be used without permission

### 6.2 Third-Party Rights

- You must not input characters or settings that infringe on others' intellectual property

- We are not liable for your use of copyrighted or trademarked content

## 7. Privacy

Your use of Papyrus is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the App and informs users of our data collection practices.

## 8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free

- Generated content will meet your expectations

- The App will be available at all times

## 9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past twelve months.

## 10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

- Your use of the App

- Your violation of these Terms

- Your violation of any third-party rights

## 11. Termination

- We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason

- Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately

- All provisions that should survive termination shall survive

## 12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

## 13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of United Kingdom.

## 14. Apple-Specific Terms

- These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple

- Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services

- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App

- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms

## 15. General Terms

### 15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the App.

### 15.2 Severability

If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

### 15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not be considered a waiver.
